Starting with a spatial constraint

An overhead extraction hood did not fit the dining area at home. I adapted an IKEA wooden dining table to incorporate a Korean grill and a ventilation system that draws cooking fumes downward.

Integrating the system

The build brought together the tabletop, grill unit, downdraft extraction, and ducting. It was a personal project in adapting existing components to a specific space and use.
